MEMBERSHIP
Whether you are a student or a pensioner, you are welcome to join our society. Fees are listed below, and Officers and Councillors are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
As a member you are entitled to the most recent copy of the annual Transactions. We produced a double edition in 2023 to celebrate our 140th anniversary, so the next volume is due in early 2025.
We hold an annual conference, which is free to members, though we make a small charge to non-members. In 2024, our conference was held at The Friends Meeting House in Manchester and featured several excellent speakers. We're happy to report that the event was well attended and a great success.
Throughout the year we have regular Zoom meetings on topics relating to our society and we also organise visits to historic and archaeological sites. All these are included in your membership.
During 2024, all the Society's Transactions have been digitised (a total of 114 volumes, from 1883 onwards), and these will soon be available to our members on the website.
Our aims as a society include increasing the number of visits each year and producing a regular Newsletter.
